Embracing and sharing a common ambition and interest in living organisims, three academic teams: Design Department/ARTS, Applied Physics Department/School of Science and the Department of Bio Sciences and Genetics in University of Helsinki.
A:space will organize two courses yearly for multi- disciplinary master student teams and related workshops and events with industry leading speakers & professionals. A:space will generate meaningful Design innovations ranging from physical material innovations to services & experiences and new and modified design and scientific methods.
Co-creation of Science and Design will aim meaningful breakthroughs in material innovations. A:space 5 years target is to become a progressive leader in color & material lead innovation, research and design.

Hands-on learning and prototyping. Workshops lead by world class expert visitors and staff.
Designing Soul – conference brings world-class designers, artists and creative directors from multitude of elds and businesses to Helsinki. They will share their expertise and practices in using colour & material design to create performance and soul for physical and digital products, events and environments.
